Searching activities

Search for an activiy by using the drop-down menus to select your options - each of the drop-down menus is explained below - then click on the "Search" button.

• To select an option using a mouse, first click on the down arrow to the right of the box to reveal the options. You can then make your choice by clicking on the appropriate entry.
• To select an option using a keyboard, use the "Tab" key to select the drop-down menu and then the up and down arrow keys to select your option. Once you have made your selection, use the "Tab" key to move onto the next menu.

Leaving the "All" menu option selected (which is what will happen if you do not make a selection your self) means that this criteria is not used to carry out your search.

Activity

This menu contains a list of all the activities currently available on the database.

Location

This menu allows you to find only activities in a particular area. The four areas are:

• Central Hastings covers the following wards: Braybrooke, Castle, Old Hastings, St Helens
• Greater Hollington covers the following wards: Ashdown, Hollington, Silverhill, Wishing Tree
• Hastings Outskirts
• Ore Valley covers the following wards: Baird, Conquest, Ore, Tressell
• St Leonards covers the following wards: Central St Leonards, Gensing, Maze Hill, West St Leonards
• St Leonards Outskirts

If you do not know which ward you live in visit the Hastings Borough Council site to find out.

Users

This menu allows you find activities suitable for particular users. Activities for Children are aimed at 9-15 year olds and those for Young people at 16-25 years olds.

Day

This menu allows you to select activites that occur on a specific day of the week.

About you

This option does not effect your search. By making a selection from this menu, you are helping us to develop and improve the site by giving us an understanding of who is using this site. Please see the copyright and disclaimers page for more information about how this information will be used.

Number of results: 0

When ever you search the database, the number of results will be displayed below the reuslt. If the number of results is 0, return to the search box and widen your search by changing one or more of your selected option to "All".

Too many results

Return to the search box and and narrow your search by selecting further options.
